ACCA (the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants)
The ACCA
ACCA (the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) is the global body for professional accountants. ACCA works in the public interest, assuring that its members are appropriately regulated for the work they carry out and, promoting principles-based approaches to regulation. We actively seek to enhance the public value of accounting in society through international research and we take a progressive stance on global issues to ensure accountancy as a profession continues to grow in reputation and influence. ACCA works to strengthen a global profession based on the application of consistent standards, which we believe best supports international business and the desire of talented people to have successful, international careers. We aim to develop capacity in the profession and encourage the adoption of global standards.
ACCA Approved Training Practice
Successful firms acknowledge that employee development is a key factor in maintaining competitiveness. Providing training opportunities demonstrates commitment to staff, which leads to improved retention, as well as better skills and higher quality service. An Approved Training Practice is a practice which is registered with ACCA to train students and members towards an ACCA practising certificate or an ACCA practising certificate and audit qualification. This accreditation is required if a practice wishes to train ACCA students and members towards an ACCA practising certificate and/or practising certificate and audit qualification. Firms must achieve at least Approved status under the Employer Accreditation scheme in order to be eligible for ACCA Approved Training Practice status.
Having been with you now for over 10 years and worked closely together during this time, I feel very well placed to say how satisfied I am with your service and thankful for your guidance over the years, much of which has been invaluable especially given that I am essentially a sole trader. I very much look forward to us all continuing this healthy working relationship into the next decade.
