Tax efficient business sale

A client had a business that he proposed to sell for in excess of £3million.

By utilising his non UK domiciled tax status, we set up a trust in the Isle of Man. The shares owned by the trust were bearer shares, such that even though our client was UK tax resident, he did not pay any tax on the sale of those shares.
